TRAFFIC on the M5 southbound has returned to normal after an earlier 'police incident' closed the road.
Motorists faced delays of up to 90 minutes after an earlier police incident near Taunton closed part of the M5 southbound.
Initial reports from Travel Somerset earlier today said that an upturned caravan had been blocking the road but a recent update said there had been a police incident between J25 and J26 which had halted traffic.

A rolling road block was in place for a number of hours while police worked to clear the road.
All lanes of the M5 have now been reopened and traffic has returned to normal levels.
