MOTORISTS are experiencing delays in Bawdrip after a fuel spillage halted traffic. 

Police were called at 2.15pm to reports that a load had fallen off a lorry travelling along the A39 near the Knowle Inn in Bawdrip. 

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "No-one was injured in the incident.

"Recovery of the load a generator is being arranged.

"Highways were dealing with fuel from the generator.

"The road was closed to enable the recovery of the generator.

"Road was re-opened at about 4.15pm."

Traffic is still slow in the area.
