A BURNHAM-on-Sea charity has been given a £2,000 boost from an estate agent.

Abbott and Frost donated two new computers with screens and keyboards to BARB Search and Rescue worth £2,000.

The new computers were handed over to charity by Julian Frost, estate agent at Abbott and Frost and Tim Gibbs from Clarity Bristol, who supplied and installed the kit.

Mr Frost said: "We heard that BARB needed to replace its IT equipment and wanted to help.

"They do a super job and we were keen to assist them.

"We have been involved with various community initiatives over the years, from local football teams to community groups and are always happy to help when we can."

The charity, which is funded entirely by donations from the public, said they are thrilled with the donations.

A spokesman for BARB said: "We are very grateful for this kind donation which will help us provide enhanced training programmes for our volunteer crew members and replace our old equipment.

"As a small local charity, we rely on donations to keep running and greatly appreciate the support."
