There is loads going on around the town and further afield in the county. Here are a few of the events we've tracked down:

• THIS year’s British National Ploughing Championships and Country Festival is being held at Bishops Lydeard on Saturday and Sunday, October 14 and 15.Around 250 competitors are expected at the event, which will include contests for many different styles through to vintage tractors and horse ploughing from the past. There will also be demonstrations, craft exhibits and trade stands.
• A Good Friday Family Fun is taking place at the Junction 24 North Petherton. Entrance costs £1.50 per adult and children go free. The Easter bunny will be out and about as well as inflatables for children, exotic animals and circus workshops.
• REFUGEE Aid From Taunton is hosting an Easter open day. On Saturday, April 15, the centre, based at the Old Market Auction site, will be open from 10.30am until 4.30pm. Lent food collections will be accepted as well as activities for children and a chance for people to find out what RAFT does. Lunch will be available.
• Pet Cuddle Club at Monkton Elm Garden Centre on the 15th April. 10am-4pm.
• We will have a variety of small furry friends for children to come and meet and cuddle, including some slimy ones too! There will also be a tombola, kid's colouring station and a mini pet-themed treasure trail.
• AN Easter bingo session is taking place on Saturday night. The Grand Easter Prize Bingo event takes place at the North Taunton Youth Club with eyes down at 7.30pm. Books cost £4.20 for 6, flyers £1.50 and the raffle is 50p a strip. Children are welcome with an adult.
• Join The West Somerset Railway for a brand new Easter Egg Trail which can be carried out whilst travelling on the services from the 1st-15th April
• West Monkton Preschool is hosting an Easter Monday Stay & Play session. From 10am until 1pm at West Monkton Village Hall.
• TRAIN RIDES Monday 17th April. Creech St Michael Recreation Ground. 2pm-5pm. £1 a ride. Weather permitted
• Nynehead Court's Easter Egg Hunt takes place from April 12-15. The event runs from 11am until 4pm. It is free to take part.
• Get a taste of Easter with free hot cross buns and coffee from the United Reform Church, Paul Street, Taunton. 
• Easter Fun at the Orchard Shopping Centre in Taunton; including a Giant Bouncing Bunny, and free face painting. Easter themed Punch and Judy shows at 11:30am, 1:00pm and 2:15pm on Friday the 14th April. Saturday 15th April "Man on the Moon" slack-wire shows at 11:30am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm. 
• The Wellington Craft market launches on Saturday. A wonderful collection of high end handmade crafts from babywear to plates cards and beauty all under one roof! Launching 15 April and will continue every third Saturday of each month. 09:30 - 12:30pm at the Scout Hut.
