SARAH Walker is building up her stamina so she can live up to her name later this year.
Sarah and three friends are planning a 100-mile walk to raise money for two cancer charities.
The fearsome foursome will be trudging from North Petherton to Poole over four days in October, completing 30 miles on three days and easing off to cover ten miles on the last day.
The team of Sarah, 29, Denise Munt, 54, Emma Irving-Jones, 32, all of Taunton, and Tracey Arnold, 50, from Highbridge, are being sponsored for Cancer Research UK and Macmillan.
"We're doing it for cancer charities because everybody's been affected by it at some stage, whether it's someone you know or a family member," said Sarah.
"Denise is in remission for breast cancer, while my mother-in-law died of cancer - I just wish we could have helped her."
The women are already training hard, tackling 12 to 15 miles walks twice a week.
Sarah added: "It's going OK - 100 per cent we're going to complete the walk.
"We're building up our energy levels and we're not worried about blisters because we've all got walking shoes.
"We've got friends who'll be joining us for certain stretches of the route and we're trying to raise as much money as possible."
