THE team and residents at a Sanctuary Care home in Bridgwater are stirring up a fabulous bake sale for a charity close to their hearts.

For this years’ Time for a Cuppa, the team and residents at The Rosary Nursing Home in Mayfield Drive are inviting local people to their tea party celebration in aid of Dementia UK on Tuesday 7 March, between 11am and 1pm.

Visitors are invited to pop along and enjoy a hot drink and a variety of sweet treats and dainty cakes home-baked for the special occasion, in return for a donation to Dementia UK.

The Sanctuary Care home’s manager Natali Edwards said: “Every year we support Dementia UK’s Time for a Cuppa as it’s a cause so close to all our hearts here at The Rosary.

“We are pulling out all the stops to put on a lovely selection of cakes so whether you like chocolate or Victoria sponge there will be a sweet treat that you’ll enjoy, so please come along and support us in our fundraising efforts.”

Time for a Cuppa is Dementia UK’s annual fundraising event; a national day which brings people together over a cuppa to raise money for the charity, which the charity will use to fund Admiral Nurses, specialist dementia nurses who provide care, advice and support to families living with dementia.

If you would like to attend the event the address is The Rosary Nursing Home, Mayfield Drive, Bridgwater TA6 7JQ.
