AN ENTERTAINMENT venue at Brean Leisure Park has reopened its doors following a major refurbishment.

The Tavern reopened its doors on January 27 and has undergone a significant refurbishment including investment in a new sound system, a digital big screen and new stage facilities, just in time for Brean Stages Rally on January 28.

Alan House of Brean Leisure Park said:“The refurbishment of The Tavern complex is one of our latest investments into our facilities.

"Quality and appearance is such an important factor in today’s competitive marketplace and we’re pleased that The Tavern at Brean Leisure Park remains such a popular venue in its 38th year of trading.

More than 400 enthusiasts came to the Tavern last weekend and enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the venue.

The venue has been open since 1980 and has seen many famous faces perform on its stage including: The Drifters, Gerry and The Pacemakers, The Searchers.

The popular spot has said it welcomes Somerset organisations including the Somerset Carnival, who hold their presentation dinner at the venue each year as well as hosting presentations and dinners for sports clubs and conferences.
