A BRAVE woman who has a long battle with anorexia has decided to bake a large batch of dog treats to raise money for charity.

Vanessa Holbrow, 45 from Berrow has suffered with anorexia for more than 30 years and is baking the confections to raise money for Beat, the UK's leading eating disorder support charity.

Vanessa said:"I'd be so grateful for any support.

"I'm not long out of 6 month hospital stay being treated for anorexia and want to give something back and raise awareness of eating disorders and the work Beat do.

"I have suffered with an eating disorder for 34 years.

"On the March 3 I will conclude this by bringing them down to Take Two, a dog freindly cafe in Burnham.

"They are kindly supporting me with this by putting up my main poster and will take on some treats for the dogs that go into the cafe with their owners.

"They may give a donation should they wish into a collection box Beat are providing me with.

"They do a considerable amount to support suffers, employers, educational establishments  and to raise awareness and their vision "to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders”.

Vanessa is baking 725 dog treats as part of Eating Disorders Week from February 27 to March 5 because more than 725,000 people are affected by an eating disorder in th UK.

Any leftover doggie treats will be given to the RSPCA in Brent Knoll.

Beat will also be holding 'Sock it to Eating Disorders' Day where everyone can wear silly socks, take a sock selfie and donate £1.
