BRIDGWATER Pantomime Society is celebrating it's diamond anniversary in style with a fantastic production of Cinderella playing at the Town Hall this week.

This year's production is another great show, with a blend of catchy songs, lovable characters and jokes for all ages.

Zoe Pike stars as the title character and perfectly plays poor Cinderella, bullied by her mean-spirited stepmother Baroness Hardup (Lindsey Stone) and the scene-stealing Ugly Sisters played by panto veterans Keith Robinson and Ken Stone.

The show also features Jordan Hill as Cinderella's lovelorn best friend Buttons, Kimberley Priddle is the dashing Prince Charming who is assisted by Lauren Singleton as Dandini while Richard Porter is hilarious as the hapless Baron Hardup.

Margaret Robinson, who plays Cinderella's Fairy Godmother and is also vice-chairman of the board of directors, said: "This is the seventh time the society has presented this pantomime and it promises to be filled with slapstick, magic, audience participation, song, dance and comedy."

It takes an enormous effort to put together the pantomime and so many deserve credit who don't appear on the stage, including the lighting team, musicians, stage crew, choreographer, front of house team, make-up, costumes and props and many more.

This year's show was written by Keith and Margaret Robinson who produced and directed it alongside Richard Porter.

Lionel Porter, president of the Bridgwater Pantomime Society said: "As you watch those on stage acting, singing and dancing, it is the result of months of hard work and preparation.

"I would like to thank the cast and all those who support them backstage and front of house that create this end result."

The show runs until Saturday, January 28 at Bridgwater Town Hall, starting at 7pm with tickets costing £11 for adults and £8 for children.
