FIREFIGHTERS tackled a chimney fire in Langport last night (Saturday, January 21).
Crews attended the fire which broke out in Martock Road shortly after 7.30pm.
On arrival the Martock firefighters found the chimney was well alight and got to work using specialist cimney gear and a thermal imaging camera.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "The crews had difficulty using chimney rods in the chimney due to the bends in its flue so they extinguished the fire externally from the chimney pot."
