A FUNDRAISING night is being held to support a beloved Bridgwater woman as she battles with cancer.
Glynis Johns, known as Guinness, has been fighting cancer since 2012 after being diagnosed. She has since received news that her cancer is terminal.
Her friends and family are hosting a charity night in order to ease Miss Johns' financial worries for her family.
Yvette Hague, a close friend, said: "Glynis is a passionate Irish woman wanting only the best for her beautiful three children.
"After losing her house due to illness and not being able to work, we would like to give Glynis some peace of financial worry and to help ease the burden knowing that her family will have some support thereafter."
The charity event will be held on Friday, January 20, at Bridgwater Rugby Club.
The night starts at 7.30pm. A raffle will be held with prizes such as hair vouchers, a fishing trip, and meal vouchers.
Tickets cost £5 a person and all ages are welcome. Tickets can be purchased on the door.
