A CHRISTMAS fete in Chard has raised nearly £1,000 for work with disabled people.
The fete was held at the Laurel Centre in Chard, home of Future 4 Chard.
The event featured future lots of stalls including bric-a-brac, a tombola, crafts and mince pies.
Sharon Leggit-Grant, the event organiser, said: “We did the fete on Friday and we managed to raise £918.08.
“We need to give special thanks to our big donors: Brecknell Willis, Numatic, Yeovil Town Football Club, Tesco, Weatherspoon’s, Paul Churchill Motors, Sharon’s Hairdressers, Co-op, Milford and Domer, Ron Homer, The Laurels Centre, Rotary Club, Andrew Talmage and Irina Swift.”
