FRIENDS of Essex House Medical Centre is back up and running after their banking problem was solved.

The fundraising group had been left in “no man’s land” for three months after their accounts were frozen by Lloyds.

Rose Kneil, the group’s secretary, said: “I am pleased to say things have been resolved with the banking problem we had with Lloyds Bank. This has taken over three months.

“So we are now back in business, and we will go ahead with the purchases agreed previously. Watch this space.

“At our recent stall we made £46, this was mainly due to the raffle we had. The winner of the Electrolux hoover was Shirley Clamison.

“The second prize of the Little Miss Muffet doll was won by Mrs Dawe. We would like to thank Mrs Letton for making the doll for us.”

The next stall is at Chris’ Popular Fair on Saturday, December 3.
