ELVES have started appearing in shops around Tiverton; 10 businesses have found a new magical resident in their building this week.
The elves are here as part of the new ‘Tiverton Elf Trail’.
Everyone is invited to find the ten elves hidden around town and post their selfies with the elves to the @TivvyElves Facebook page for a chance to win a family ticket to Tivoli Cinema.
The Elf Trail runs from December 1 to 24, 2016, with the prize draw taking place on December 30.
Tiverton Library will do book readings from ‘The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition’ children’s picture book (the inspiration behind ‘The Elf on the Shelf’).
Mid Devon District Council (MDDC) is running the event in Tiverton
Zoë Lentell, Economic Regeneration and Growth Officer at MDDC said: “The aim of the trail is to encourage people to shop locally this Christmas.
"We hope this trail will encourage customers to visit several shops across the town and see what fabulous gifts Tiverton’s shops have to offer."
You can find an elf located at each of the following businesses:
- Banburys
- Busy Bees
- Chic’it
- Jo Amor
- Sarah’s Kitchen
- SNOB
- Tiverton Gifts and Crafts shared with VELVET Café
- Tiverton Library Tiverton Market Tiverton Museum / Tourist Information Centre
Over the Advent period, these businesses will be posting a photo diary of all the things their elves get up to and where to find them.
Follow us on Facebook @TivvyElves and remember to tag your selfies #TivvyElves and/or #TivvyElfTrail to be entered into the prize draw.
