TAUNTON Deane Mayor Cllr Vivienne Stock-Williams has been presented with a Bible by the Taunton branch of Gideons International.
The presentation was made by branch chairman Dr Keith Bromley (right) and while the Mayor's chaplain, the Rev Christopher Rowley, said prayer and spoke about the coronation of Elizabeth II, when she was presented with a Bible by the moderator of the Church of Scotland, who described it as "the most valuable thing that this world affords".
The Gideons hand out and place in various premises millions of Bibles every year.
