FANS will have to buy tickets if they want to attend Taunton Town's FA Cup first round match against Barrow AFC.

Due to unprecedented demand, the Peacocks' hierarchy have made the decision to make the match an all-ticket game, meaning fans will have to buy tickets prior to the game rather than paying on the day.

Taunton secured their passage into the first round after beating Hemel Hempstead 1-0 in their replay, and the tie will be held on Sunday, November 6, kick off 2pm.

It is the first time in 35 years the club has been in the first round proper of the prestigious competition, and FA Cup fever is gripping the town with the match just 12 days away.

It is only the second time in the club's history that a match has been all-ticket, with the last time being the FA Vase semi-final against local rivals Tiverton a number of years ago.

It does mean however that fans will be guaranteed to watch the match if they purchase a ticket, rather than the prospect of queuing for hours and not gaining entry to the Viridor stadium.

The club has yet to reveal the date when tickets will go on sale, but it will be in the coming days.

The game has also been selected to feature on the Final Score on BBC 1, which guarantees both clubs a £12,500 cash boost, and the tie has been delayed until Sunday, November 6.
