REPRESENTATIVES from Burnham-on-Sea attended their third district convention since the reorganisation of charity fundraising group UK Moose International.
Thirty members who are part of the fraternal organisation travelled to Edithmead’s Oak Tree pub for the convention on Sunday with special guests including the UK Moose International National President Barry Soley and his first lady of Moose Glenda Soley and Administrator of Ladies Circles, Lynda Griffiths
The delegates who had attended from the Burnham-on-Sea, Weston-super-mare, Bristol and Swindon lodges, separated into their own meetings for ladies or brothers presentations and discussions.
During the brothers meeting they viewed a video presentation, where Supreme Governor Scott Hart conveyed greetings from America.
Mr Hart encouraged UK lodges to persevere, and continue to spread the philosophy of Moose.
The ladies and brothers then met for a joint presentation delivered by Matthew Sproston on the life and times of George Formby.
At the end there was a raffle which raised £140 and was supported by a 75 prize table.
