A TAUNTON preschool has relocated to the Albemarle Centre.

Runabouts, previously known as Railway Runabouts Preschool, has been practising since 1992, and has recently moved to a new home.

Ofsted rated the preschool as “good” in 2014 and it is now working towards receiving an “outstanding”.

The preschool occupies a large, bright and well-equipped room with an enclosed, large adjoining outdoor area that offers a ‘free-flow’ facility for the children.

Rob Warren, manager of Runabouts, said all were settling in well.

He added: “The children, families and staff have settled extremely well into our new environment and we are continuing to thrive as a setting.

“We pride ourselves on our friendly and nurturing approach to support children’s learning and development.

“We welcome all families into the setting to experience, observe and enjoy what we offer here at Runabouts.”

Louise Porter, committee chairman, said: “We have had so many changes since I became chairman in 2015.

“We have all worked very hard to prepare for the opening of the new setting and it is great to now see the preschool running smoothly and successfully.

“I am proud to be part of such a great team.”

The preschool is hosting a special Christmas Fayre at the Albemarle Centre in December.

It takes place on Saturday, December 3, from 10am until noon.

The event will feature a raft of stalls, including crafts and refreshments.

There will also be lots of fun activities for all of the family, and all are welcome to the festive event.
