A SOMERSET breast cancer charity has raised over £3,000 after organising a ladies night.

Holly Macbeth, a group chairwoman for Somerset Breast Cancer Now, organised the event, hosted at Brean Leisure Park, in a bid to raise money for the charity and was overwhelmed with the amount of support she received.

She said: "On behalf of the Somerset breast cancer now group I want to say a huge thank you to all who came, supported and donated to our ladies night, last night.

"I think that Friday night was the best year yet!

"I'm overwhelmed with the support and generosity of all who attended.

"We managed to smash last year’s ladies night by raising a staggering £3,500 which is amazing!

"We have a few people we would like to thank: the staff at Dickie's Bar in Brean Leisure Park, Nikita and Fay and finally to our many raffle donations including support from our local cooperative in Highbridge.
