BRIDGWATER Albion Rugby Football Club held its youth registration day on Sunday, attracting plenty of youngsters to come and give the game a try.

There was general training held between 10am and noon with signing on taking place up until 2pm.

A spokesman for BARFC Youth Rugby said: "We take children from 5 to 16 and coach them and help them to play and most of all enjoy the game of rugby.

"All of our coaches are trained by the RFU and CRB/DBS checked so parents can be assured of safe and fun activities.

"It is free to try for the first month, so why we want parents to bring their little ones down to give it a go or just find out a little bit more.

"We want to spread the message so we can encourage as many children as possible to put away the electronics for at least a couple of hours per week, make great new friendships and take up an active game like rugby!"

The club runs three senior teams in various leagues and has an active Youth & Colts section encouraging children from 5 to 18 to get active in Rugby.

The girls rugby sessions for 11-18 year-olds take place at the Rugby Club on College Way, Wednesday nights between 7pm and 8.30pm.
