ARRANGEMENTS are now well under way for one of the biggest Flower Shows in the area as Bridgwater Flower Show comes to town for this week.
More than 600 exhibits are expected to fill the Town Hall with a wealth of flowers, vegetables, arts and crafts, photography, food and wine and children's entries.
There are sections for novices, over sixties and allotment holders, and this year, the children’s classes have been split into school ages, making three sections in all.
There are 42 new classes, including a salad collection, afternoon tea on a cake stand, a lemon drizzle cake and stitch and craft a small item.
The classes for children have a number of new titles as well, with a hand print pattern, make a carnival mask and the Something I Grew Myself just a few of the new classes.
Adult colouring has a class in the art section, and youngsters will be able to download one of two pictures from the Show’s website, join the dots, and colour in the image.
“There is something for everyone in this year’s show,” said secretary Jackie Sealey.
“It’s not all about flowers and vegetables, we have so much more here for adults and children – so give it a go!”
Bridgwater Flower Show will take place on this Friday and Saturday in the Town Hall with over 500 exhibits on display, including plants, flowers, vegetables and fruit, hobbies and crafts, art, photography and cooking, as well as children’s classes, with sections for novices, senior citizens and allotment holders.
