BANK manager Adam Masters put his boss firmly in his place and earned himself £100.
Adam, from Taunton, competed in the London Triathlon on Saturday, completing the gruelling contest in one hour, 20 minutes and 16 seconds.
That was almost three minutes ahead of TSB chief executive Paul Pester, who had agreed to sponsor competitors from the bank to the tune of £50, which he would double for anyone who finished ahead of him.
Adam has so far raised £160 in sponsorship for the Beacon Centre cancer unit at Taunton's Musgrove Park Hospital.
He said: "Taking part in the London Triathlon was a real test of endurance, but a lot of fun.
"And, of course, it’s incredibly rewarding to see how much money was raised for so many great causes."
