DRAGONS' Den star Deborah Meaden is going back to her old home village to open the 70th anniversary Cheddon Fitzpaine Flower Show.
The family event on Saturday, July 30, features live music from 2fargone, Malcolm the Magician, teas, lawn skittles, coconut shy, children's games, plants, tombola and other activities.
The first show in 1946 raised money to build Cheddon Fitzpaine Memorial Hall in recognition for villagers killed in the Second World War.
It was originally held at Hestercombe before moving to a marquee at Rowford until the hall was completed in 1954.
Money raised at the show still goes to hall funds along with other fundraisers, allowing a new larger hall to be built in the woodland setting in 2002.
