IN a modern day twist on the tale of Cinderella, teenager Keegan Norman went to his school prom after all - and the story's so moving it's gone viral on social media.

Keegan, 16, had contemplated staying at home while his classmates celebrated the end of their time at Bishop Fox's School, Taunton.

But he reluctantly agreed to be dropped off in his dad's car after his family persuaded him he'd regret it forever if he missed Friday's bash at Oake Manor Golf Club.

And they arranged a surprise that ensured he enjoyed a night he'll remember forever.

His sister, Tammy Norman, said: "Keegan's autistic and finds it difficult going to things like that.

"At first he wasn't going to go, but when we convinced him to go, he asked to be dropped off at the back door.

"Keegan has always loved Audis and we made some phone calls and Yeovil Audi agree to drive him to the prom for free in a TT car.

"When the Audi TT pulled up outside our parents' house in Trevor Smith Place, we said, 'What a shame you've got to go in dad's car'.

"He just glared at it, but when we told him it was for him, it put a huge grin on his face."

Keegan was then dropped off complete with Hollywood-look sunglasses outside the front door at Oake, where his friends were shouting his name and cheering.

"We're really chuffed. It restores your faith in human kindness when people are so generous," said Tammy.

"I posted a brief thank you on Facebook and within days it's had around 11,600 likes and rising."

Keegan said: "I wanted to go through the back entrance in my dad's car at my prom to save myself some stress, as I've felt stressed lately due to exams and preparing for college.

"I had no idea Tammy had contacted Yeovil Audi and they'd arranged for me to go in an Audi TT.

"It was the highlight of my night, and I've had so much love and support from Facebook. I'm really pleased I didn't go through the back door now."

Gary Moorcroft, Yeovil Audi's after sales manager, said: "Tammy rang me in a predicament as she needed a car to get Keegan to his prom and we were happy to help out."
