TAUNTON law firm Clarke Willmott LLP raised more than £4,800 for two Somerset charities at its bi-annual charity ball.
Staff from the charity committee at the Taunton office organised the black tie ball at Woodlands Castle, Ruishton, to raise funds for Stand Against Violence, which works to prevent youth violence, and Hope for Tomorrow, which uses mobile chemotherapy units to take cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes.
Clarke Willmott chairman Tim Walker said: “More than 100 staff, clients and associates turned out in their finery to support our charity ball and we are delighted with the wonderful amount raised for two very worthwhile causes.
"The evening provided entertainment including live music sets, a three-course meal, a raffle and an auction all of which contributed to a great event.
“I’d like to thank everyone who helped organise the ball and those who attended and supported the evening. We’re already looking forward to the next one.”
