ANNA Lewis, of Taunton, is attempting to static row the quickest half marathon ever in Taunton's High Street on Saturday (April 30).

She'll be part of a team covering a total 250k throughout the day to raise money for Musgrove Park Hospital's charity Love Musgrove, with proceeds going to the breast care unit and the Beacon Centre cancer department.

The event will coincide with the launch of a new smoothie, the Pink One, at the Superjuice unit, with £1 from each sale during May going to Love Musgrove.

The pink coloured fruit smoothie is made from crushed raspberries, apple, pineapple, mango, strawberry, turmeric and beetroot and was inspired by Superjuice owner Heidi Waddon, who underwent treatment for breast cancer last year at Musgrove.

She said: "I had a bit of a battle on my hands last year and am coming to the end of my treatment for breast cancer.

“The treatment I received in the breast care unit and the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital was amazing and I want to give something back.”
