BLUE Anchor man Adrian Laity's death is being treated as a 'sudden death from natural causes', police have confirmed.
Emergency services rushed to the scene outside the Blue Anchor Hotel shortly before 11am on Monday morning and police were forced to close the road.
It was initially reported there was a car crash but a spokesman for the force has said that they believe Mr Laity, 51, died of natural causes and the incident has now been referred to the coroner.
Mr Laity was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton but died of his injuries shortly afterwards.

Mr Laity, who was described as a "very caring person", had worked as a chef at the Blue Anchor Hotel for more than 13 years, and was a keen traveller.
