POLICE are appealing for information following an attempted burglary on Staplegrove Road in Taunton this morning (Monday, April 4).
Two young men were seen this morning attempting to break into the house by using gardening tools to open a window.
They were spotted by the occupant and a neighbour, and subsequently ran away, jumping over a fence before making their escape.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called to a report of two men trying to break into a house on Staplegrove Road through a ground floor window.
"The two men are described as being white males in their late teens or early twenties who were both wearing dark hooded tops.
"We are currently making door to door enquiries and appealing for witnesses. If you can help please contact 101 and quote the rime reference number 5216071251.
