Dedicated students from King's College were given the opportunity to visit Farleigh House in Bath, the training centre for Bath Rugby Club.

The trip took place on Friday February 5 and was open to all on the BTEC level three extended diploma in sport course.

On arrival, the students met retired professional, Danny Grewcock, who is now the academy director at the club and works with developing the younger players.

Ben Coker, the head of physical development gave a lecture on how he develops the training programmes of the players.

He spoke about injury prevention, types of training and components of fitness, which fits into the students' current unit of fitness training and programming.

After the lecture, Ben gave the students a tour of the facility, including the state-of-the-art gym, complete with altitude chamber, where some students also took part in a few of the tests that the players undertake.

Mr Gresswell also took on the might of the scrum machine.

The students also visited the medical centre, physiotherapy rooms, training pitches, the 4G pitch and the changing rooms.
