POLICE are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a petrol station in Taunton.
The incident happened on Saturday, February 6 at the Texaco petrol station on Wellington New Road shortly after 1.10pm.
A man entered the petrol station shop and demanded that the woman behind the till hand over cash, threatening her with a baseball bat.
The man left the shop with a quantity of cash and made off on a push bike.
He is described as being between 5ft 10" - 5ft 11" tall, of a skinny build, wearing a black thin waterproof coat with the hood up, a black balaclava or snood and black baggy trousers which were tucked up at the bottom.
The bicycle is described as a hybrid type with straight handlebars and thin wheels with a dark blue frame.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101 and quote crime reference number 5216026829.
