TRULL parish councillor Tessa Dean has composed and sung a song to express her views on Taunton Deane Council's decision to approve outline planning for 2,000 homes between her village and Comeytrowe in Taunton.

She said: "I wrote this song following the granting of permission for an Urban Extension of 2000 houses in our parish on the edge of Taunton.

"The application was deferred in November 2015 on the basis that there hadn't been enough work done in various important areas (education, traffic, health etc).

"But rather than do the work, the applicants rushed back to the planning committee in January 2016 and under extreme pressure from the council the planning committee granted permission.

"Sniff, sniff, weep, weep. At least it will be safer for cyclists when the traffic is crawling along at 5 mph....."
