The Mayor of Taunton, Councillor Marcia Hill, and her consort Julian paid a visit to a local community organisation.
The pair have sung the praises of Work-Wise, who help people who are unemployed or seeking additional work.
The Mayor was impressed with how the relaxed and friendly atmosphere puts people at ease and makes the feel at home very quickly.
The aim of the project is to give the additional support and valuable time that other organisations are unable to give; due to time and target restrictions.
Clients are able to come as often as they like, without making an appointment; there is always someone on hand to give support and advice with CV writing, job applications and other job seeking, with a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of toast.
Work-Wise is held in the Lecture Hall at Taunton United Reformed Church, Paul Street, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am to 12.00pm.
