These photographs around the area of Hinkley Point were taken by Jacob Dear from Burnham who is studying photography at degree level at Weston College.
He said: “I have always been aware of the Hinkley Point nuclear facility and how it has dominated the landscape across the bay. Recently, I became interested in how the development of the new Hinkley Point C would impact on that landscape. I initially planned to photograph the facility in situ but Hinkley security were not so happy with my plan.”
“Focusing on the changing environment around the new facility, I use a medium format film camera (Mamyia RB67) to give my work a distinct style, documenting modern landscapes using an old medium.
