Arsonist targets Taunton home as roll of carpet set on fire
There are fears that an arsonist targeted a home in Taunton on Sunday morning.
Police and firefighters were called to Dorchester Road just before 6am, with two fire appliances from Taunton station sent to the reports of a domestic fire.
Crews confirmed an external fire at the home and used breathing apparatus sets, a hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the roll of carpet on fire.
A spokesman said that the fire was set deliberately.
Police were also called out to the property.
