A 21-year-old Bridgwater man has won the World Powerlifting Championship for the junior 75kg category.
Former Chilton Trinity and Bridgwater College student Ben Legg was competing at Maia, Portugal, after winning hisn spot in the event by winning the British championship in Andover.
He attended Chilton Trinity and went on to do an engineering apprenticeship with BridgwaterCollege at local firm TMB Patterns LTD who kindly sponsored him for the event.
Ben lifted the title with a 195kg squat, 140kg bench press and a deadlift of 210kg
