With reference to the report on police and crime in Bridgwater in the Mercury my worries are those who sleep rough on the Cornhill.
They sleep in shop doorways, one of them came into William Hills on the High Street. Last week one of them along with two of his mates entered the shop and put £10 into the fruit machine and lost his money and then left.
Also, when one of them was asking people if they have any spare money and then I saw them withdrawing money at a cash machine.
I told Sue Mountstevens at the Senior Citizens Forum the other week when she came to address the meeting at St Mary's church hall. She said the man would be committing a crime if he did that. But nothing has been done.
(Name and address with held.)
