Bridgwater British Red Cross volunteer honoured as a community hero
Veronica Curran has been a British Red Cross volunteer for more than 30 years, working from the Bridgwater centre.
She was a first aid instructor and taught first aid to all age groups and also taught and accessed First Aid at Work courses.
For over 30 years, Veronica has acted as a First Aider at Taunton Race Course.
When not caring for the public, Veronica helps at a riding school for the disabled and also volunteers at least one day a week at Secret World, helping injured birds and animals.
Veronica is a very caring member of the community and is truly worthy of this award.
