PEOPLE across Somerset will be heading out to their local fireworks displays, so here is the list of some of the events taking place in the Taunton area:

Hatch Fireworks at Taunton Racecourse – November 5

The display, choreographed to music is due to start at 7:30pm, with gates open from 5:30pm.

There will be a hog roast, BBQ, refreshments and various attractions.

The event will be raising money for Children's Hospice South West and the League of Friends at Taunton's Musgrove Park Hospital.

Tickets are available before hand at £5 for adults, £3 for children and £14 for a family ticket (two adults and two children.

They are also available on the gate at £6 for adults, £4 for children and £17 for a family ticket.

Wiveliscombe Bonfire Night – November 5

Fireworks will be held at Wiveliscombe Recreation Ground with the start time set for 6pm.

There will also be a bonfire.

Wyvern Fireworks Display – November 6

Gates open at 6.30pm, with the display set to start at around 8pm.

There will be a family disco in main hall with RITZ Disco, a licenced bar, a kids tuck shop, hot dogs, burgers and chips, a fresh pancake van, and parking at Richard Huish College and Bishop Foxes School.

Adults tickets are £5, with children’s available for £3. Babes in arms are free.

Oake Manor Golf Club – November 7

Gates will be opening at 5pm, with the fireworks due to start at 6.30pm.

There will be a hog roast & BBQ, a licensed bar and a free disco.

All proceeds are in aid of Oake, Bradford & Nynehead School Association

Wellington Cricket Club’s annual fireworks display – November 7

Gates open at 5.30pm with the fireworks due for 7.30pm.

There will be fun and games, fairground rides and stalls, food and refreshments, the popular mulled wine tent and two public bars.

No car parking is available on site this year. Wellington CC ask all those in attendance to be mindful of and considerate to local residents.

Entry is paid on the door and will be £6 for adults and £2 for under 14s.
