STUDENTS from Chilton Trinity kicked off their very first primary meets secondary school conference.
New year seven pupils were given the opportunity to share ideas with a group of teachers from primary schools across Bridgwater.
The evening was attended by 50 colleagues from Puriton, Woolavington, Wembdon, Eastover and Westover Primary Schools as well as teachers from Chilton Trinity.
As well as questions and answers, short presentations were given.
Chilton Trinity organiser, Tom Newell, said: "The ideas generated and the practice that goes on across the board was inspirational to see.
"It varied from great work on the pupil premium, fantastic ideas to support students who have English as a second language, using the school website to further engage parents and carers to simple, effective ideas to use every day on the classroom.
"All staff who attended the event came away inspired at the practice that goes on in our local community and how we all strive to make a difference to the lives of the youngsters in our care."
