STUDENTS from Richard Huish were put through their paces by academics and professionals to prepare them for the university application process.
The 40 students who took part in the mock interviews have all made applications to the country’s top universities including Cambridge and Oxford across a range of subjects.
Richard Jones, Careers Officer at Huish, said: “The students felt that it was incredibly worthwhile in preparing them for what is a very selective and demanding process.
“It gave them the opportunity to engage with an academic in their chosen field and receive a critique of how they performed so that they can improve for the real thing.”
The academics were drawn from a range of backgrounds, including medicine, law, science and English and were all from University College London, Exeter University and Bristol university.
They were joined by a consultant cardiologist, a consultant physician and a consultant in emergency medicine, all from Musgrove Park Hospital.
