HAYGROVE School has been accredited, for the third time, with the British Council’s International School Award.
The Bridgwater institution has been honoured in recognition of their commitment to developing an international dimension to school life.
The British Council were positive about Haygrove’s strong links with overseas schools, especially their partnerships with the Yew Wah Foundation in China and the Mawanda Basic School in Zambia.
The Council said: "The partnerships with your Chinese and Zambian partner schools are sound and your relationships with them are interesting and have been successful.
"They show much promise in terms of delivering mutually beneficial collaborations as you progress with your international learning programme."
Mrs Collinge, Director of International Studies at Haygrove School, was delighted to share news of the International School Award with Haygrove's newly appointed team of international ambassadors.
The twelve students, who are from year nine and year ten, will work closely with Mrs Collinge to further strengthen the school’s international programme and to encourage fellow students to explore key global themes.
