Steam fans are in for a treat as the West Somerset Railway Autumn Steam Gala rolls into town.
The event runs through this weekend and will mark the 40th Anniversary of the opening of the West Somerset Railway.
Steam locomotives now confirmed as being due to work are as follows:- LNER Peppercorn Class A1 No. 60163 'Tornado'

Other guest engines are still being sought and it is expected that Peckett Saddle Tank "Kilmersdon” will be shunting at the Washford base of the Somerset and Dorset Railway Trust.
Other attractions along the route of the line will include model railways, museums, and at the weekend workshop openings. On Sunday October 4th children aged 5 to 15 will be able to travel for a flat fare of £2 if accompanied by a full fare paying adult or senior citizen.
