A BRIDGWATER College student is in the running for Miss Teen Great Britain after clinching the Miss Teen Somerset 2015 crown.

Molly Keen, 17, has seen off hundreds of teens to secure her place in the grand final.

“Making it to the grand final is a dream come true – fingers crossed I will be able to win the Miss Teen Great Britain crown,” she said.

Molly, from Wellington, is now in her second year of studies at Bridgwater College and will be volunteering her time to the local community as well as raising awareness and funds for the charity Together for Short Lives.

Together for Short Lives is the leading UK charity for the 49,000 children in the UK living with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions and all those who support, love and care for them.

Molly later added: “When I found out I was in the finals for Miss Teen Great Britain and had been given the title of Miss Teen Somerset, I was so excited.

“I never thought I would be able to achieve something as big as this. The experience of being able to do this is just amazing and I can’t wait to meet the other finalists and compete in the finals in October”.

The Miss Great Britain grand final will be held at The Globe in Blackpool on October 27.

The weekend’s events are set to include the finalists enjoying a day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and a pyjama diva party, as well as the finale event.
