No light bulbs, no cold and wet - but Axbridge's carnival still has ancient traditions with a procession through the streets of floats and walking entries along with fleets of tractors.
It coincides with the annual fair in the Square so a packed arena in the small town. The procession starts at 2pm on Saturday September 19, and is aimed mainly at families and children with floats from the town's various social organisations including the cinema and the Chamber.
