THE specialist rescue team of Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service has been busy today, Saturday, September 5.
First up they were called out to a horse stuck in a ditch at Hawkridge, Dulverton, at 2.18pm.
They got to work digging the horse out and used lines and stops to release the animal, which was returned to the care of its owner.
Then at 4.05 firefighters were alerted to a sheep stuck in the water between West Lyng and North Curry.
The specialist rescue team did the honours again.
