PEOPLE from all over Somerset flocked to the North Petherton flower show for a day of fun and entertainment.

The event was last Saturday and was opened Mr J Marks, who was a committee member for over 20 years before retiring last year.

The number of entries in the flower and vegetable classes were similar to last year, despite the challenging growing conditions during the spring and early summer this year.

Refreshments were available in the form of tea and cakes and everyone enjoyed the community spirit of the event.

The Show closed at around 4.15pm after the presentation.
