STUDENTS at The King Alfred School in Burnham have achieved outstanding successes in their A-level and AS level results.

An overall pass-rate at the school of 99% has left both students and staff celebrating another year of excellent academic and personal achievements.

Denise Hurr, headteacher, said: “We are thrilled with the outstanding success of our students’ A-level results, particularly in the STEM subjects of maths and chemistry.

“Excellent results were also achieved in English literature, French, German, history, photography, psychology and sociology.

“We are pleased to see so many of our students achieving their expected places at a wide range of leading universities.

“Excellent individual performances include Sam Cooper, A*, A*, A and A, Samuel Harkness A, A, A, Alada Bunlar A*, A and B, Ismail Abdelrahim A, B and B.

“Students also secured top university places such as Nottingham, Imperial College and Exeter among others. These results demonstrate that the school is continuously providing high quality education to students in Burnham and Highbridge and more importantly that students feel challenged and supported to achieve their very best.”
