A MAN threatened to beat up the driver of a parked bus because he wouldn't drive it from Yeovil to Bridgwater.
Ricky Allison, who is 31 and lives in Castle Moat, Bridgwater, told Taunton magistrates he was drunk at the time of the incident at the town's bus station and said he couldn't remember the incident.
The court heard that on June 14 Allison pushed past driver Michael Glover on the vehicle, belonging to First Bus, and sat down in a seat despite being told the bus was not due to travel to Bridgwater.
The court heard that Allison threatened to beat up Mr Glover and steal the bus. Mr Glover took the keys out of the ignition and left the bus but Allison kept walking up and down the bus and punching the window.
Allison then got off the bus and continued to act aggressively until police arrived on the scene and he was arrested.
Allison received a community order for 12 months and ordered to to 150 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay a total of £325 made up of £180 court costs, £85 prosecution costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
