A NUMBER of minor changes to “suit the requirements” of passengers are being made to The Buses of Somerset’s service timetables from Sunday, August 9.

Most are slight alterations to departure times to improve the efficient running of some services, according to the company.

The most notable revisions are to Service 25 between Taunton and Dulverton, with both inbound and outbound journeys again calling at Brushford.

As a result, modifications are being made to the timetables to build in extra time for the route change.

First South West managing director Alex Carter said: “We are constantly reviewing our Somerset services and wherever possible, we try to enhance journeys to meet the needs of customers.

“The revisions we have made this time will further improve services where we have encountered issues with delays and others have been to tailor journeys to better suit the requirements of our customers.

“Working with Somerset County Council to make revisions to Service 25 is just one of the ways where we work closely with the local authority ensure that the public transport network is developed to meet the needs of our customers.

“Above all, we remain totally committed to keeping all our customers in Somerset on the move.”
