CROWDS in Wellington were treated to a spectacular evening of music at the ‘Proms in the Park’ event on Saturday evening.
The Wellington Silver Band performed from 6.30pm in Wellington Park, while a barbecue was also available on the night.
Wellington Silver Band is a friendly fourth section band steeped in history dating back to the 1800s.
The band’s repertoire includes all types of brass band music from traditional to modern pieces.
The band plays in concerts, churches, halls, schools, local fetes, seaside resorts, park bandstands, sports grounds and a host of other venues – and has a strong tradition of raising money for a variety of charities.
